Our team is made up of researchers and creators, all passionate and committed to making a positive difference in the world. We believe in the importance education plays in shaping and changing people lives. Together we aim to build and support a solid foundation for children in South Africa.
Hey, I'm Michelle, founder of Isiseko.

As a young girl I dreamed of being an actress - luckily for the viewers at home this didn't work out. Instead, I find myself pursuing my passion of understanding culture and human behaviour, and encouraging personal growth, through studying my Master's in Industrial Psychology and working as a Learning and Development Specialist.
What started as a small initiative, collecting hygiene essentials for impoverished communities, quickly opened my eyes to larger societal issues and the dire challenges less fortunate children are faced with - the fire was ignited.
Through Isiseko, I wish to empower and educate our country's most vulnerable to become tomorrow's leaders (or actors).

My passion has always been to develop and help others.
Education has been the cornerstone of my success and has shaped me into the woman I am today. Sharing this experience and the vast opportunities education affords to children at Isiseko is fundamental to my life's mission.

Hey, I'm Othandwayo, Director of Isiseko.
Born and raised into a Xhosa family with two loving parents who were teachers, my foundation had been set early on. I carry my family's and community's values to serve with me.
​
My interest are firmly geared towards understanding the history of my people, understanding our lived experience, and ultimately rethinking and reimagining the possibilities of freedom.
It is my mission to dismantle the notions of gender, patriarchy, anti-blackness, racism and homophobia, and to create a new consciousness around blackness and our culture.

Hey, I'm Colette, Brand Director of Isiseko. ​
Helping others has always been the unspoken rule in my family and is where my passion for uplifting others stems from.
My daily pursuit to build and grow brands and people has naturally led me to Isiseko where I have the ability to empowering young children by giving them resources to thrive and to remain resilient.
In my downtime, I’m either running, on the beach, or with my family, friends and fur baby.
